The class of 2021 announced Tuesday includes Floyd Mayweather, Andre Ward, Wladimir Klitschko, Laila Ali, Ann Wolfe, Marian Trimiar and ring physician Dr. Margaret Goodman. Elected posthumously are lightweight champion Davey Moore, Jackie Tonawanda, cut man Freddie Brown, manager-trainer Jackie McCoy, journalist George Kimball and television executive Jay Larkin.
Criminal that Toney didn't get inducted. Jackie Tonawanda and Marian Trimiar were the first two women to be licensed to fight professionally. George Kimball was the long time boxing writer for The Boston Herald and was one of if not the last full time Boxing writers employed by a major newspaper. Dr Margaret Goodman was one of the best ringside physicians the sport ever had.

Klitchko, Mayweather and Ward collectively rank about a 4 on the excitement-o-meter. Ali and Wolfe are both deserving but the casual fan and just the casuals know Wolfe a lot better. Her one punch knockout of Vonda Ward is still one of the most watched videos on YouTube and any video list of best knockouts in women's Boxing has it at number one and rightly so.
