Artur Beterbiev unified a couple of the light heavyweight belts when he stopped Oleksandr Gvozdyk in the 10th round last night. It was almost a slow motion beatdown. Beterbiev just sucked the life out of Gvozdyk one punch at a time, nothing flashy, in fact over the first 8 rounds highlights were hard to find to the point they were non existent. At the time of the stoppage Gvozdyk was up on two of the cards and that was a fair reflection of the fight up to that point. Beterbiev hurt Gvozdyk in the ninth with a series of body punches and in the 10th Gvozdyk just couldn't stand up anymore and after sinking to his knees for the third time in the round referee Rosato stopped the fight.

He beat him slowly but surely ala chavez/taylor. Couldn't see the damage until too late.

Beterbiev has pretty slow hands but is still skilled. He in fights pretty well and hurt Gvozdyk to the body a bunch of times. He obviously hits hard and is really good, to bad he’s so old already.
