    In what regard?

For someone new to MMA to get an idea?
    Most exciting KO?

It depends on what you are after...

    Cro-cop/Fedor comes to mind

To get a good idea on how groundfighting/grappling can be JUST as exciting as a big punch...Karo Parisyan was in at least TWO fights that strongly illustrate grappling excitement...the loss to Diego Sanchez and the win against Nick Diaz...both very technical but still very exciting IMO

seems like Karo had several more exciting fights but those ones come to top of mind...

I personally loved the matchup between Nick Diaz and Diego Sanchez with all the reverses and the sustained action.

    Default Best fights I've seen

Just a few off the top of my head:

Diego Sanchez vs. Karo Parysian UFC Fight Night (sometime last year)
Great back and forth action. Had it all! Highlight, Diego knocking out Karo's tooth with a knee. Karo had some sick Judo tosses that planted Diego on his head.

Frank Shamrock vs. Tito Ortiz. UFC
Back when the light heavyweight belt was the middleweight belt (199lb limit).
This was back when Frank was on top and Tito was coming up ( and wasn't afraid to trade and get nailed).

Rampage vs. Wanderlei Silva PRIDE 2003?
Haven't seen it in awhile but I remember it being really close until the end.
    Rampage can take a licking.

Barnet vs. Nogeira I PRIDE 2006
I haven't seen the rematch which people say is just as good as this one but I know it was something seeing a ground expert like Nogeira wanna keep a fight standing and almost get subbed by a kneebar.

Others: BJ Penn vs. GSP, Lil Nog vs Shogun,

Tito vs Vitor was a good fight. Tito had to dig deep for that one.
Nick Diaz vs Diego Sanchez. Pretty much any fight Nick is in is good though
Kendall Grove vs Ed Herman was pretty back and forth also

Pride 10 is probably the best MMA event from top to bottom. Great fighters, great matches, great event. UFC 40 is also one of my personel favorites.
