Jones/Hopkins in their actual primes.

The problem is it's debateable when both were in their primes and if it was ever at the same time.

I personally don't see the result changing but that's another matter. I still believe it would been a dull fight either way.

Yes, it very likely could've turned out to be another boring decision for Jones. I just wish it would've taken place later before Jones crumbled.

This is also the one that really sticks out in my mind, it almost certainly would have ended in a knock out and the action would have been brutal.

Gatti-Hatton

I pick Gatti. Faster, better jab, more fluid and they would surely have to brawl in spots, Gatti certainly has the edge in power...

honestly out of all the possible fights that never happened - the one i always wanted to see more than any other was Trinidad vs. Quartey. More than Pryor-Duran, Arguello-Sanchez, Mayweather-Casa, Lewis-Bowe... any of them

Anyway to answer the question of the thread... I woulda loved to have seen Tyson-Bowe in the early 90's. But unfortuntely Mike got locked up.

Tyson/Bowe or even prime Tyson/prime Holy.

Tyson/Bowe or even prime Tyson/prime Holy.

At least Tyson-Holy was competitive.

Some fights that are "better late than never" i actually would have preferred to be on the never side, such as Lewis-Tyson, Calzaghe-Jones, Holmes-Ali and many others.

I think that fight is one of my finest predictions. Not because i picked Lewis by decision but because i believe it would an all out stinker. To this day i haven't even seen it.

Even better my cousin and a buddy were thinking of ordering it. They were the sort of quasi-boxing fans that wanted to see a good fight. I'm happy i talked them out of it. If they ended up paying for that shit they probably would have been soured on boxing for life.

RJJ/Jirov seemed so close to being made. It makes one wonder if Jones saw something in Jirov he didn't like. I've always felt Jirov would've given him a much better fight than Ruiz.

I have argued this for years. Jirov was a great fighter for a time, although the likely scenario is Roy beating him soundly by decision.
