Cotto-Singwancha ends in draw!
Lightweights Jose Miguel Cotto (28-1-1, 20 KOs) and Prawat Singwangcha (30-3-1, 18 KOs) battled to a twelve round draw in a bout for the vacant WBA lightweight title on Friday night at the Coliseo Angel "Cholo" Espadas in Salinas, Puerto Rico. Buoyed by the hometown crowd, Cotto, the brother of WBA welterweight champion Miguel Cotto, got off to a good start and landed the cleaner punches, however Singwangcha pressed the action and dominated down the stretch. Scores were 117-111 for Singwancha and 114-114, 114-114.

Looked like Singwancha outworked Cotto quite decisively to my eyes.

When the visitor gets a card like 117-111 something is not right:slap:

Nice to see. The American media was ripping into Singwancha, proves once again they don't know their ass from their elbow.

Cotto sucks and got a BIG gift,in the form of a draw.
He clearly lost.
Singwancha is a good fighter.

Haven't seen it,
But there were some Cotto nut-riders over at the BoxRec forum who had it a draw. It seems that most thought the Thi should have won. But as we know, it's very hard to win a decision in the other boxer's hometown, especially with a hometown (Puerto Rican) judge. However, I understand that the Canadian judge had it even as well.

Did you watch the fight? I did.
Anyway, Jose cotto dis good the first 5-6 rounds and after that he seemed to lose something because he couldnt do shit afterwards, and then in the 9th he acted like a complete asshole, he pushed his trainer and started cursing at him and there was a mini fight(verbal) in his own corner, Miguel Cotto had to go there and calm things down, anyway, singwancha completly dominated the second part of the fight, i had him winning 7 rounds to 5.

Yeah I watched it or else I wouldn't have said "Looked like Singwancha outworked Cotto quite decisively to my eyes". I don't even think Cotto did good the first 6 rounds. He did good the first 2, lost some, then won a couple and lost the rest. I thought Singwancha won 8-4.
