What did you all think of the fight??

1) Anybody want to see the rematch that is definitely going to happen, most likely this year?

2) After seeing How Floyd handled DLH, does anybody still think Margarito would have stood a chance?

Margarito would have beaten this version of Oscar as well, probably even more convincingly.

Let da fights begin!!!

I would still pick DLH to beat Margo in a heartbeat.

No interest in a rematch. I wouldn't mind seeing Floyd beat up the winner of Williams-Margarito though.

I would rather see PBF fight the winner of Hatton/Casillo

Valdosta

That would work as well if it's Hatton. I wouldn't have much interest in Maywether-Castillo III though. It would look just like the 2nd fight.

Well, the winner of Cotto-Judah will be on the table as well. And don't forget about Mr. Mosely @ 147.

Me too. I'd like to see Floyd fight Cotto as well.

I never like a fighter to fight to far out of their weight class.

It gives them a built in excuse if they lose.

PBF should not go over 147 at most.

i was a little unsatisfied by this fight. Floyd won fair but i would have been happy with a draw (not just because i picked a draw). Floyd didn't really really try to win the fight as much as he just tried to make DLH lose it (does that make any sense). I feel Floyd just made Oscar miss and didn't offer up much offense himself and really the greats of all time in my book dazzled you with offense as well as defense.

i feel like Pernell Whitaker did this already... to a much younger Oscar De la Hoya ten years ago, despite not getting the nod. Pernell went in there and made Oscar miss all night long, granted DLH was more active in terms of flurries and combinations and he especially would time them much better towards the end of the round... but if whitaker would have just offerend a little more offense i feel he would have gotten the decisison, and in floyd's case he woudl have gotten more respect

Margarito couldn't eeven beat Santos at 154 ... Oscar would dominate him.

Either way it was a close as hell fight. If Margarito was as great as many of you claim he should have beaten Santos. Perhaps if Margarito watched Dzindurik he could learn some boxing fundamentals. :clappy:

The truth of the matter is that Floyd - in winning- lost some lustre , while Oscar - in losing, gained a little.
Floyd went in billed as 'The Greatest Fighter in the World'...and while he may have deserved the decision, he didn't fight like one might expect to see 'the Greatest' perform.
Oscar, on the other hand, was game throughout and gave his supporters something to cheer about in most of the rounds. While lots of his agression was ineffective, he still was the guy supplying the few thrills there were.
I have no interest in seeing it again...although to be honest my appetite to see Floyd fight again was hardly stimulated by Saturdays fight.
Sorry, but that's just me - I appreciated the technical skills of Pea, but I never went out of my way to watch him fight. As it turns out, I think even Pernell was far more aggressive than the PBF we just watched.
Bottom line, brilliant or not, Floyds style is a bore.

Would Margarito beat him...hell no, but I would MUCH rather watch Antonio fight than Floyd.
Who would like to bet that the Margarito-Williams fight is FAR more enjoyable. thrilling. exciting and dramatic than last Saturdays event.

The rematch is inevitable.
Floyd will win easier next time.
It will make millions.
It will do NOTHING to lure new fans to this great sport of ours.

To be quite honest, I'm not too interested in seeing Floyd fight at all after that performance right now. I thought it stunk out the house. There was hardly any offense.

Yes, he showed good speed and skills, but he should have turned on the offense a LOT more.

It will turn people away and make them watch UFC instead.

i would watch a rematch.

margarita would lose to mayweather

lefthooker and Mark G are right- this will only turn more people to UFC where men mount each other on the floor. boxing is losing out to a sport where they mount each other on the floor... shows you the state we are in.

most people here knew it wasn't going to be a great fight tho... the only chance was that DLH landed clean and shook mayweather up and we had to see him fight his way out of trouble.

What did the judges think?

...and who is this "Many" that you always speak of?

Well said.

You should be the spokesman for the other crew. Rebel, Mex, Ray, Elvis etc ... I don't agree w/ them but you are more diplomatic & make more sense than those guys.

Well said.
