When I think of the Most Mis-Managed fighter... Tim Austin always comes to mind. This guy was an Olympian & looked to be a top 5 p4p type guy in the making.

If you look at his record before that long lay-off induced by Don King politics & the way he looked against Rafael Marquez before he got careless, you can see how far this guy could have gone provided he had better Mgmt.

Imagine if he was managed the way fighters like Roy Jones, Ricky Hatton or some of our other recent stars were.

Who are some of the fighters that you think were Mis-Managed??

Shawn O'Sullivan the silver medalist back in the 80's (managed my SR Leonard) comes to mind....

Perhaps, but at the end of the day, the guy simply wasn't that good - Leonard should have seen that and protected him better - there definitely was a fortune to be made.
SRL just abandoned him after Simon Brown ripped his head off on national TV LOL!

My vote goes to practicly any fighter managed by Frank Warren.
The man seems obsessed with not allowing his 'champions' to fight Americans - it's frustrating! (Calzaghe was an exception and look how easily he demolished Lacey...Frank, let the boys fight!!!)

Good point about Warren.

Could Meldrick Taylor or Tyrell Biggs been any better provided they were managed better?

No doubt in my mind it is Hopkins.

He made a lot of money but no where near what he should have. He has always been his own worst enemy in business.
