Love it - very insightful.
Still, unless Oscar is playing himself down in front of the cameras, based on how both look in the gym (at least on the show), Floyd will defeat Oscar.

Shane Mosley's smile on the 24/7 leads me too believe he was up to no good. Anyone notice the bruise around Oscar's right eye. hmmm...

I know PBF makes a ton of money but the way he spends it he will be broke a few years after boxing.

dont count on it.

If he kept putting money on AI and the Denver Nuggets then he's lost a few thousand dollars already. :)

Yup looks like Shane has been working him. I'm pretty sure Oscar is intentionally not showing his best for the cameras.
And as for Floyd the man is a freak of nature. His ability and conditioning is off the charts and second to none. Unfortunately for him he can't train his chin to eat one of Oscar's hardest punches. Goodnight.

I think Shane Mosley is deep down, rooting for Mayweather, because he wants to fight him and be the first to hang an "L" on Floyd's record.

Would Shane Mosley beat Floyd if they fought? Thoughts?

Funny how Floyd shows off his money so much but Oscar has so much more than him but you never see him showing of anything.

This 24/7 thing is great. We are getting it on regular cable here in Australia, which shows the magnitude of this fight. First time I can remember Fox Sports running something like this here.

What got me most from this show was the staredowns at the press conferences, the size difference, which we all expect, didnt seem to be all that noticable. Sure, Oscar looked a little taller, but Floyd was definitely up in his face and the size different didnt seem all that pronounced.

From the footage, Floyd simply seems like a fighter that he is, smack bang in the middle of his physical prime, where as Oscar even in training looks like a guy on the decline. Floyd looks sharper, unbelievably confident in his ability and definitely faster. Handspeed has always been Oscars #1 tool, and if its starts to deminish, he will look unbelievably second rate against a guy like Floyd.

I cant see how Oscar can win this. I cant believe you can get +120 odd for Floyd by dec.

I wouldn't be too fooled on physical ability and appearances alone. Oscar has never been a physical specimen.

yea i know, I am talking about overall size, as many who are tipping oscar seem to think he will come in a lot bigger than Floyd. I know it was hard to tell, but I dont think he will as big as many think.

Neither fighter rely on physical size/strength, which is why I like Floyd so much in this fight. His speed & skill level is so much higher, and any strength advantage Oscar has wont be all that significant, as Oscar doesnt use strength generally.

I sorta see Floyd like RJJ - he could go to heavy, as he always relied on speed and skills not strength/power. Floyd will get come unstuck when his physical gifts start to deteriorate (altho he is a lot better schooled than RJJ ever was).

I just saw the last episode. Floyd is an arrogant fuck. I hope IDL puts him on his ass...but the way the 2 fighters are being portrayed, it looks like Oscar isnt as focused...but thats reality tv for you...who knows whats really going on...whoever said oscar has never been a physical specimen is absolutely right...and Floyd keeps saying Oscar runs away and cant fight into later rounds...if that's so true, why is floyd training so hard? I hate floyd...I hope Oscar can pull this off.

I've got a couple of decent sized money bets on this fight and after seeing some of the video, I'm more confident than ever that Floyd will win.

[QUOTE=Manowar;61845]and Floyd keeps saying Oscar runs away and cant fight into later rounds...if that's so true, why is floyd training so hard? /QUOTE]

A. It's theatre.

B. It places doubt in DLH's head to a degree. And DLH knows that he has faded before. Floyd wants DLH to come forward and be aggressive from the start and go for a KO...Floyd will pick him apart and be made to a million dollars.

Of course Floyd is going to train hard, regardless of what he says.

Floyd always trains harder than anybody I've seen. It's his performances in the ring that leave everybody unfulfilled.

Shane is tougher than Floyd. He can take Floyd's best shots but its doubtful PBF could take his. Mosely can come close to Floyd in speed and shouldn't have as much trouble landing shots as most others. What is going against Shane is age , he's 35. TIP
